Wednesday, November 25, 2015 Every Pilot needs to know their Craft! By Felix Flight Services from Maple Grove MN USA Pros: Durable cover, binding, and original content.
Cons: Could use a slightly better quality internal paper for the price. Quite costly purchase. Review: 1968 Cessna 172I This book is a nicely put together rendering of Cessna's original version. I appreciate its form as it is far more durable then the original which is helpful for the heavy use it gets as an instructional aid. Was this Review Helpful to you? Tuesday, November 24, 2015 Nice reproduction Owners Manual by Bill from Mitchell IN USA Pros: Perfect reproduction of the original Cons: Paper seems like it would tear easily. Review: 1965 Cessna 172F This is a great copy of the original Owners manual for the 1965 Cessna 172F.
I gave it 4 out of 5 start because I would like to have seen it laminated for durability. The paper is standard thickness and seems like it might tear easily. If lamination were made an option, I would gladly pay for the upgrade. They do it for sectionals, why not manuals.

Monday, June 04, 2012 I would reccomend this product to others by Firstflight 172 from Dearborn MI USA Pros: I especially like the spiral binding, easy to open to any page. Review: 1985 Cessna 172P It is every thing I hoped it would be. A lot of valuable info and as close to a POH as I've seen. Was this Review Helpful to you? Tuesday, May 08, 2012 Manual Good - Binder Bad by Calvin from Havelock NC USA Pros: Good information Cons: Binder sux, pages com undun or rip in less than a month Review: 1998&On Cessna 172S The manual had all the appropriate information but if your going to charge such a high price the should come with a hard binder and the pagers should be three or four hole punched.

Tuesday, March 27, 2012 No surprises, Great Binding by Will from Henrico VA USA Pros: Spiral Binding Cons: Reduced size makes some diagrams a little small or blurry. Review: 1982 Cessna 172P I am a student pilot and needed a reference for the Skyhawk I use for training. The AIM is pure reproduction of the 1982 version with all of the supplements. I like the modern wire spiral binding.
It makes lying the manual flat during flight planning a breeze. It also allows the reader to fold the book back on itself for low profile reading. Was this Review Helpful to you? The one in the airplane I rent is pretty ratty - and the checklist has items that flow over to a following page. The checklist in this version has better pagination. I love the spiral binding. I made some photocopies of pages I might need to reference and this made it easy to get both pages without weird stretching. Was this Review Helpful to you? Tuesday, November 24, 2009 Not quite up to date by Philip from Cosham Portsmouth United Kingdom Pros: Better than borrowing the aircraft copy! Cons: Be sure to copy the actual aircraft weights and moments. Review: 2004 & On Cessna 172S NAVIII This is almost identical to to the OEM POH supplied with the aircraft. The copy I received was Revision 3 - 12 October 2006.
The latest edition at my Aero Club is summer 2007. The main difference is that up to 2006 Cessna were using the Bendix/King KAP 140 autopilot. They are now using the integrated Garmin AFCS. Functionality is much the same and Revision 3 actually contains more supplements. Anyway you still need the Garmin POH as well.

Previous Customer Questions For Cessna Aircraft Information Manual - 172 Skyhawk: On Thursday, October 03, 2013 a customer asked: Q: Hi, I have a question about your Cessna 172 Information Manual. Is this Information Manual the same as a Pilots Operating Handbook or Owners Manual? Or, in the alternative, does this manual provide more technical information?
A: The Information Manual and the Pilots Operating Handbook are the same thing EXCEPT for the fact that a POH is specific to one specific serial numbered aircraft. It has all of the W&B and performance information for that specific aircraft. Whereas an Information Manual covers the basic model for that specific Year, Make and Model. They are both produced by Cessna but a POH can only be purchased from Cessna directly and is three to five times more expensive since it's for a specific plane.
